SKLM SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM 2019

Siengkane Lao is proud to announce the Summer Camp Program in 2019. This program is open to all Minnesotans and more importantly, it’s a FREE program!

The purpose of this program is to cultivate a strong sense of pride and ownership of Lao and Thai culture. By providing Lao and Thai philosophies and wisdoms (local wisdom), and teaching the courtesy and ethics of our cultures, we seek to transfer the knowledge of our origins, traditions and cultural values to our youth thus ensuring the legacy and culture of the Lao and Thai people will continue to be practiced in future generations. It is our goal that the knowledge gained from this camp can also promote to the public, both domestically and internationally, a more in depth understanding of our cultures, traditions and further develop an appreciation of Lao and Thai people, globally.

We provide classes, with knowledgeable instructors, in the following areas of Lao and Thai culture and tradition:

- Traditional dance style

- Traditional musical instruments

- Courtesy and ethics
